BEFORE SKYDIVING IN PUERTO VALLARTA
HOW TO BOOK
During high season, it’s important to reserve your slot in advance to guarantee your spot. These are the ways that you can book:
- In Person
- The Skydive PV main office is located here. If your hotel/accommodation is close by, you can just walk over and book in person.
- Online
- You can book your slot online here.
- Via Whatsapp
- You can arrange a jump directly via WhatsApp, here.
Skydiving is also heavily dependent on weather, so check the forecast before you book!
COST
Skydive PV has multiple packages, with addons for photos and videos. The cost breakdown is below:
Package 1: MXN 4900 ($280 USD)
- 10-minute class
- Airport transportation

- 40 to 60 seconds of free fall

SKYDIVE PUERTA VALLARTA REQUIREMENTS
- You cannot Scuba dive 24 hours before your jump.
- If you are taking any medication, consult your doctor.
- Anyone over 200 pounds is subject to an instructor evaluation/harness fitting and will incur additional fees
DIVE PREPARATION
Arrive at least 30 minutes before your scheduled jump time to complete any necessary paperwork and attend the pre-jump briefing.
You’ll be given a brief 10 minute safety and instructional video to watch, and the instructors are there to answer any questions.
Wear comfortable clothing suitable for the day’s weather. It can get chilly up at 10,000+ feet, so dress accordingly.
Closed-toe shoes are required.
JUMP TIME!
Skydive Puerto Vallarta will shuttle you to the PV Airport, where you’ll board a tiny but specialized Skydiving Airplane!
It takes about 20 minutes to get up to jump altitude, so you can an absolutely stunning and scenic flight as you ascend. Soak in panoramic views of Puerto Vallarta!
On the flight, the instructor will hook up the harness and do a thorough safety check of all the attachment points.
At around 10,000 feet, the moment of truth arrives as the plane door opens and you shuffle over towards the edge where you will crouch on a small step outside the plane door.
The instructor will remind you of the correct hand and body positioning before the jump, then off you go!
The freefall is an insane experience and such an exhilarating rush. You’ll free-fall for almost a minute and reach speeds up to 120 miles per hour!
The instructor will deploy the parachute, and expertly maneuver it for some fun tricks.
Once the parachute is deployed, you’ll float down for about 6-8 minutes, taking in the gorgeous ocean and mountain views of Puerto Vallarta.
LANDING
The landing zone is right on the beach and the instructor will tell you when it’s time to pull your feet up and get in landing position.
The sand is soft so it’s a nice easy landing.
PRACTICAL TIPS
- Don’t bring your phone or have anything in your pockets
- Respect the Guidelines: Listen carefully to the instructions for a safe and enjoyable experience
- It’s chilly up at 10,000 feet so wear appropriate clothing!
