THE BEST 3- DAY ITINERARY FOR NHA TRANG, VIETNAM

If you have three days to explore the incredible city of Nha Trang and you want to make the most of it, here is your ultimate 3-day guide to Nha Trang!

We arrived in Nha Trang on an early overnight, bus. So if you’re the same, find your hotel and drop your things off in the lobby. You’ve got a full day of exploring ahead of you!

WHAT TO EAT IN NHA TRANG

During your stay in Nha Trang, we recommend finding local restaurants and stalls to eat at. There are plenty of inexpensive and delicious options. Try banh mi, pho, or Vietnamese tacos! Eating locally is a great way to save money and get the full experience of a new city.

DAY 1 – MORNING

Take some time to get familiar with the area by walking along the beach boardwalk. It’s well-maintained, clean, and the perfect way to spend the morning.

One thing to be aware of though, is there are fees to enter the bathrooms that line the beach. Carry cash on hand (5,000-10,000 VND), or duck into one of the many shops or restaurants and ask if you can stop there if you need.

If you’re sporty, you can ask to join the different soccer or volleyball games along the beach, or work out with their public outdoor gym equipment. There will be lots of locals and tourists doing the same!

If you’re wanting something more chill, you can stop in at a beachside restaurant for a drink, or “relax” on a hammock by the waves.

DAY 1 – AFTERNOON

After you check into your hotel and take some well-deserved downtime, you can start your afternoon adventure! We recommend walking to the ancient Po Nagar Temple in the center of Nha Trang, located near Trần Phú Bridge. You can easily spend the afternoon admiring the beautiful grounds and monuments and learning about the history of these temples. To learn more about what you can expect for your visit, click here!

DAY 2 – MORNING

Day two is a full adventure day, but you’ll need to get out of the city! We recommend renting a scooter for the day, which will only set you back about 120,000-150,000 VND (5-6 USD)

Get an early start for the Núi Cô Tiên hike as you’ll want to do it before the sun is directly above you. There is very little shade on the hike, so it gets quite hot, but the panoramic views of the city can’t be beaten! Núi Cô Tiên is only around 15-20 minutes from downtown Nha Trang, so if you don’t want to rent a scooter, you could easily take a taxi or Grab to the trailhead. DAY 2 – AFTERNOON

This next stop is a must-do when visiting Nha Trang: Ba Ho Waterfalls! This gorgeous park is 45 minutes out of town, but you’ll feel like you’re in another world! It hosts three lakes connected by waterfalls, a river lined with lush greenery, and cute seating areas and restaurants.

If you’re brave you can try cliff-jumping, or just swim in the clear blue water. Make sure to bring your camera! There is so much to see and enjoy. In fact, if you have a longer trip to Nha Trang, you could easily spend a whole day here. To learn more about what you can expect, click here!

DAY 3 – MORNING

It’s your last day here! We recommend taking the morning to pack and get ready for the day. If you wake up with energy, you can go down to the beach and rent a surfboard, or just relax by the waves before check-out.

DAY 3 – AFTERNOON

You’ve hiked, explored, and cliff-jumped; now it’s time to relax at the Thap Ba Mud Baths! This is the perfect way to ease your sore muscles from your adventurous few days, and to drain all your energy for an incredible night of sleep (this will be a major bonus if you’re taking an overnight bus out of the city, like us!). We chose to walk there (about 1.5 hours from town), but you could also take a 15-minute Grab to save yourself some time and energy!

Enjoy the afternoon sitting in jacuzzis, mineral mud baths, and heated pools. To learn more about what to expect, click here!

Nha Trang was one of our favorite spots in Vietnam. There’s so much to do and see. We hope you enjoy your time as much as we did!
